A high school cheerleader was among two people killed in a car crash in Rockford Friday night.

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WLS) -- A high school cheerleader was among two people killed in a car crash in Rockford Friday night.

Police say 17-year-old Emily Fleming was riding in a car that crashed with a pickup truck on the way to a football game.

Two other cheerleaders in the car were injured.

Stillman Valley High School is providing grief counselors and therapy dogs to help students cope with the tragedy.

The 64-year-old driver of the pickup was also killed.
