Waukegan air show canceled amid financial issues

WAUKEGAN, Ill. (WLS) -- This year's Wings Over Waukegan air show has been canceled due to financial reasons, organizers announced Friday.

Organizers say they could not meet financial obligations for the show, which was planned for Saturday and Sunday at Waukegan Airport. Also, organizers say there were issues relocating neighbors living within the FAA mandated flight box next to the airport.

Next year's show is planned for Sept. 10, 2016.
