CHICAGO (WLS) -- Some patients have long been concerned that the exertion of intimacy could trigger another attack, but German researchers say not to worry.

They found the stress placed on the heart during sex is roughly equivalent to walking up two flights of stairs.

Researchers also report that patients who had sex more frequently did not have any increased risk of heart attack.

The American Heart Association also advises that sex after a heart attack is OK.
