Man meets his guardian angel
A man in Louisiana has finally met the woman who saved his life 20 years ago.

NEW IBERIA, La. -- A man in Louisiana has finally met the woman who saved his life 20 years ago.

Alex Patout gave Charlie Nora a giant hug when they were reunited.

Two decades ago, someone threw something at Patout while he was riding his bicycle. He fell, knocked his head on the street and was left bleeding and unconscious.

Nora, a nurse who had just finished work, drove by and spotted him on the ground. She cared for him until help arrived.

Patout finally tracked her down on social media. After 20 years, he still calls her his angel.

"We don't take the time to stop to say thank you for the little things," Patout told KATC. "This is a little thing for somebody, but it changed my entire life. It kept me alive."

Nora said Patout wasn't the only ne saved that day.

"I was going through a really bad time and feeling very worthless and when I left I said 'I am somebody. I am worth something,'" Nora said.

The person who threw the object at Patout's bike was never caught. Patout and Nora plan to remain friends.
