Annual interfaith breakfast honors Martin Luther King Jr.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The 29th Annual Interfaith Breakfast honoring Martin Luther King Jr. takes place Friday at the Chicago Hilton at 720 S. Michigan Avenue.

Each year the City of Chicago hosts the ceremony along with civic and religious leaders to honor the life of Dr. King.

Archbishop Blase Cupich will deliver the opening prayer.

Hundreds are expected to be in attendance.

Additional events are planned throughout the city and nation to honor Dr. King on Monday, the federal holiday.
