Authorities ID man found dead on ice at Deep Lake in Lake Villa

LAKE VILLA, Ill. (WLS) -- An autopsy will be done Tuesday on a man's body found on a frozen lake in the northern suburbs.

Lake Villa firefighters found the body Monday on top of the ice on Deep Lake about 800-feet from shore near the Shoshoni Trail..

The man has been identified to the Lake County Coroner as 26-year old Ryan Garrett of Lake Villa.
