Bicyclist attacked, robbed in Wicker Park

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A bicyclist was injured in an attack early Wednesday morning near a CTA L stop in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood.

The attack happened around 3 a.m. Wednesday morning in the 2000-block of West Pierce Avenue, just around the corner from the Damen Blue Line stop.

Police say the 36-year-old man was grabbed by two men who then beat him up and took his green Schwinn bicycle and a pack of cigarettes.

The cyclist was not seriously injured.
