Body pulled from Lake Michigan near East Hyde Park

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police say a man's body was pulled from Lake Michigan at East 54th Street Sunday morning.

Crews responded to calls about a person in the water around 10 a.m. and found a man's body about half an hour later, officials say. Officials say they believe the body had been in the water for an extended period of time. The victim has not yet been identified.

A death investigation is underway by Area Central detectives.
