CHICAGO (WLS) -- A mother charged in the death of her 7-month-old daughter is scheduled to be in court Wednesday morning.

Erica Hampton was charged with child endangerment after the girl was left strapped in a car seat in a Lawndale apartment in 2013. She was found unresponsive in the car seat.

The baby, Lamya Hampton, was in a snowsuit, in the child seat on a bunk bed.

Hampton had left her three young children home alone.
