Chicago police officer application deadline Sunday

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Sunday is the deadline for anyone who wants to be a Chicago Police officer.

The department is taking applications for the first time since 2013. CPD says it wants more diversity among officers, and it looks like it's succeeding.

So far, more than 70 percent of applicants are minorities.
