Chicago police respond to incident at elementary school

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police officers responded to an altercation at Bond Elementary School in Englewood Tuesday afternoon.

Police say one male student was slashed on the arm with some kind of knife, a girl was punched in the face and a school security guard sustained a cut on his arm. Police described all the injuries as minor and the students were taken to St. Bernard Hospital in good condition.

Police say the incident occurred at an after school program held at the school.
