CHICAGO (WLS) -- Ignacio Carillo, a Chicago public relations executive, has been convicted of sexually assaulting a woman after meeting her on a dating website, officials said.

Carillo, 40, met the 38-year-old victim at a restaurant after the two arranged a meeting on the Internet, according to the affidavit. After consuming a drink, the victim reported that she began to feel strange.

The victim, Carillo and Carillo's friend left the restaurant and went to a different bar, where the victim said she struggled with being able to sit on a bar stool, according to the affidavit. She also said Carillo made a joke about putting a "roofie" in her drink.

The victim testified that she next remembered being driven to a hotel, where she attempted to catch a cab to go home but that Carillo grabbed her by the arm and took her back inside, where he sexually assaulted her. The victim had been in contact with her sister throughout the night, who picked her up at the hotel after the attack.

The victim was reluctant to pursue charges against Carillo but came forward after learning he was charged in a similar incident from 2011.

Carillo faces up to 15 years in prison.
