CHICAGO (WLS) -- A candlelight vigil was held in downtown Chicago for victims of violence in Gaza.

Participants gathered Saturday night at Water Tower Park at North Michigan and Chicago Avenue.

Many carried signs bearing the names and ages of Palestinians recently killed in Gaza.

The group walked along Michigan Avenue to the Tribune Tower, where they lit candles and offered prayers while making a plea for Israel and the Palestinians to stop the fighting.
