CPD honors officers who went above and beyond call of duty

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Honors were given Tuesday to Chicago police officers who went above and beyond the call of duty.

Interim Superintendent John Escalante presented awards to the officers at police headquarters.

One group of officers was honored for coming to the aid of a pregnant woman hurt in a domestic disturbance. Another group was recognized for uncovering a stash of drugs and cash during a traffic stop.
