CPD investigating at least 6 officers accused of lying in court

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police confirm they're investigating at least six officers accused of lying in court.

A spokesperson tells ABC7 that internal affairs and the office of professional standards is reviewing court transcripts.

A Chicago Tribune investigation documented more than a dozen examples where judges believed officers gave false testimony.

A police department spokesperson said it's too early to reach any conclusions.
