Crews search Lake Michigan for missing boater; 1 man rescued

Search crews rescued a 46-year-old man from Lake Michigan Sunday afternoon, but continued searching for a second missing boater into the evening, officials said.

The fire department responded to a report of a man who jumped into the water at about 3 p.m. about a mile from the North Avenue Beach shore.

The second missing person is a 29-year-old man, police said.

The rescued man was hospitalized in good condition.
