CTA to break ground on new 95th Street terminal

CHICAGO (WLS) -- One of the largest train station projects in CTA history will begin when Mayor Rahm Emanuel breaks ground Monday morning on the new 95th Street terminal on the city's South Side.

Built in 1969, the current facility is one if the busiest, serving about 20,000 rail and bus customers on an average weekday.

The $240 million reconstruction project will create more than 700 construction jobs.
