CTA to provide extra service for Taste of Chicago, Crosstown Classic

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The CTA will provide extra bus and train service for people attending the Taste of Chicago, the Cubs-White Sox Crosstown Classic and the CONCACAF Gold Cup Finals.

Longer trains will run on the Red, Blue, Brown, Orange and Green lines to help people get to Grant Park for the Taste during certain periods from Wednesday through Sunday. Additional bus service will also be provided on buses service the area around the park.

Extra buses will run on the #80 Irving Park and #152 Addison routes to get people to and from Wrigley Field for the Crosstown Classic from Friday through Sunday.

More buses will be provided on the #130 Museum Campus and #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express routes to help people get to and from Soldier Field on Thursday for the Gold Cup Finals.

Several bus reroutes will be in effect from Thursday through next Tuesday.
