Emanuel focuses on helping homeless veterans during event

Ending homelessness among Chicago veterans was the focus of Thursday's "Breakfast with the Mayor" event.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel pointed out that while we think of Chicago as a world class city, there are veterans living on Lower Wacker. He says it's time to make sure that ends.

"A home is more than just a roof. It's the ability to assemble your life and begin to take a different step on a different journey to bringing a wholeness to your life," Emanuel said.

The mayor urged people to help the homeless as we approach the holidays.
