FAA expedites airport noise study

There may be some possible relief for people who say airport noise near O'Hare is making their lives miserable. The FAA said Thursday it is fast-tracking a study on the issue.

The expedited study is reviewing national standards for noise levels near major airports.

The results could qualify thousands of residents near O'Hare for subsidized soundproofing.
