Former Lynwood cop accused of punching handcuffed man

LYNWOOD, Ill. (WLS) -- Charges have been filed against a former Lynwood police officer accused of punching someone in custody.

Surveillance video from September 2013 shows Brandin Fredrickson leading the victim through a police parking garage.

Just before they exit, Fredrickson appears to hit the handcuffed man, knocking him to the floor.

That man was treated for a concussion and broken nose. Fredrickson was fired from his job nearly a year ago.
