Former 'Mrs. Orange County' arrested for creating, selling child porn
A 25-year-old Irvine woman, who formerly held the title of Mrs. Orange County, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of producing and distributing child pornography.

SANTA ANA, Calif. -- A 25-year-old Irvine woman, who formerly held the title of Mrs. Orange County, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of producing and distributing child pornography.

Around noon, investigators with the Orange County Child Exploitation Task Force conducted a traffic stop on Meghan Breanna Alt in San Diego County. During an interview, Alt confessed to several allegations of producing and electronically distributing child pornography involving a 4-year-old family member.

Investigators obtained evidence that Alt distributed the sexually explicit images to a U.S. Marine stationed in Southern California in exchange for cash and gifts.

Authorities also believe Alt advertised services through Craigslist, which many times resulted in an exchange of sex for money and was often occurring in front of her children.

She was crowned Mrs. Orange County 2014 and competed in the Mrs. California 2014 Pageant last June. She is also involved in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in San Clemente and Irvine where authorities believe she helped and monitored young children as a church volunteer.

She faces charges of production and distribution of child porn and lewd and lascivious conduct with a child. Alt was booked into Orange County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail. She is scheduled to appear in court Friday.
