Foul smell reported in Romeoville, Lemont

LEMONT, Ill. (WLS) -- Residents in southwest suburban Romeoville and Lemont reported a foul odor in the air Wednesday morning.

It's apparently due to equipment problems at the Citgo Refinery plant that's located on the border between the two suburbs.

People as far as Park Ridge and Rosemont also noticed the odor.

Police have been advised of the smell. There are no health concerns. Citgo has not commented.
