KANKAKEE, Ill. (WLS) -- A Kankakee family is asking for help after a house fire that killed a seven-year-old girl and destroyed their home.

T'niyah Hale was killed and four others were hospitalized after the fire ripped through the family's home. Her uncle, Robert Harris, suffered severe burns over 50 percent of his body when he tried to get back inside the burning building to rescue his family.

The family lost everything in the fire. Several fundraisers have been set up to help them get back on their feet.

A GoFundMe page has been started by T'niyah's aunt to help the family pay for food, as well as pages started by a neighbor and the family's churcd.
