Exclusive: Garry McCarthy talks about rising Chicago violence
One year after being fired as head of the Chicago Police Department, Garry McCarthy sat down exclusively with ABC7 Eyewitness News to discuss violence in the city.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Former Chicago police superintendent Garry McCarthy spoke exclusively with ABC7 Eyewitness News's Tanja Babich about why he thinks the city's murder rate is still on the rise.

McCarthy said he is haunted by the city's murder rate and feels he helped develop some good policing practices, but said he was fired before he had a chance to apply them.
