Girl, 12, missing from West Elsdon, near Midway

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Police are asking for the public's help locating 12-year-old Stephany Portes who is missing from the 3800-block of West 55th Place in Chicago's West Elsdon neighborhood.

Portes is described as a Latina girl, 5 ft. 2 in. tall and 160 lbs. with a medium complexion, brown eyes and black hair. Police say she is last believed to be wearing a blue or black hooded sweater, blue jeans and brown boots. She may be wearing her black pastic-framed glasses.

Portes is known to occasionally frequent the areas of West Chicago, Villa Park and Oak Brook, Ill.
