Girl, 13, struck by a vehicle in Uptown
A 13-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle in the city's Uptown neighborhood on Saturday.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 13-year old girl was hit by a car in Chicago's Uptown neighborhood, police said.

At about 1:30 p.m., the girl was crossing the street in the 4500-block of North Sheridan when she was hit.

The driver was making a left turn to head northbound on Sheridan when his view was obstructed, police said.

The girl was taken to Lurie Children's Hospital with a laceration to the lip and hip injury. She is in good condition, police said.

The driver stopped and was not cited.
