Google Street View image shows man holding gun in West Garfield Park

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A symbol of Chicago violence has popped up on a popular online mapping tool.

An image from Google Street View shows a man standing in the West Garfield Park neighborhood casually holding what appears to be a handgun. This is at the corner of South Kildare and West Adams, just down the street from a vacant elementary school.

The picture was posted to Reddit Wednesday but it was taken in November of 2015.
