Illinois DMV offices now open after computer outage

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Computers are back up and running at all Secretary of State offices in Illinois after a statewide outage Wednesday, officials said.

The outage, which began in the morning and continued all day, led to long lines at many DMV locations.

Officials have not said what caused the outage.
