SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WLS) -- The Illinois Supreme Court is hearing arguments in a battle of high school bleachers in suburban Crystal Lake.

Justices will decide whether Crystal Lake South High School's controversial $1.8 million bleachers will stay up or be torn down.

A lower court ordered them demolished because of zoning violations in October 2014, but the Illinois Supreme Court took up the case in January 2015.

The state's high court heard arguments from both sides Wednesday.
