Indiana University authorities were investigating a report of a person with a gun Tuesday night at the Bloomington campus.
About a half hour after the school issued an initial alert, they issued a second alert stating that the threat is no longer imminent.
An alert was issued at 6:32 p.m. CST telling students to take shelter. At 7:08 p.m. CST, the university issued an alert that said: "Investigation is on-going. Threat is no longer imminent. Resume normal routine but remain vigilant."
Classes ended on Friday, according to the university's online calendar.
