SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WLS) -- Lawmakers in the Illinois house have approved a plan to make medical marijuana available to more people.

Under the bill, people with post-traumatic stress disorder or a terminal illness would be eligible.

The bill also expands the marijuana pilot program for another two-and-a-half years.

Governor Bruce Rauner said he supports the bill.

It will now head to the senate for a vote.
