CHICAGO (WLS) -- Women jogging in Legion Park should be on alert following recent incidents of inappropriate touching there, according to a post on Chicago Alderman Pat O'Connor's website.

In two separate incidents, the women were jogging in Legion Park near the 5100 block of Francisco Avenue and 5500 block of Virginia Avenue when they were approached by the offender. Anyone with information should call police.

Officials encourage women to jog in pairs and pay attention to their surroundings.

Legion Park is located in Peterson Park no the city's Northwest Side. It is connected by a running path to parks in Budlong Woods, Lincoln Square and Ravenswood.
