Man, 23, charged after driving through fence at Chicago Harbor Locks

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 23-year-old Chicago man was charged Sunday after driving through the main security gate at the Chicago Harbor Locks near Navy Pier, police said.

Jaime Santillan Jr. was arrested and charged with one felony count of property damage and one misdemeanor charge of trespassing. The area is considered a government facility, police indicated.

The incident occurred at about 5 a.m. Sunday. The entrance gate is located in the 500-block of North Streeter Driver.

Santillan is scheduled to appear in bond court on Monday.
