Man accused of stealing boat in Burnham Harbor, taking it on joyride

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man is accused of stealing a boat in Chicago's Burnham Harbor and taking it on a joy ride.

Prosecutors said Garth Whalen, 52, found the keys inside the $300,000 boat on Sunday. He allegedly sped through Burnham Harbor, crashing into five other boats along the way.

Investigators said Whalen was drunk.
