Man allegedly steals ambulance with paramedics in back, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A Chicago man suspected of stealing an ambulance from Stroger Hospital is due in court Monday.

Police say William Quackenbush stole the ambulance early Sunday morning while paramedics were in the back. The paramedics jumped out and called police.

Officers arrested Quakenbush about a block away and say he appeared to be intoxicated.
