Man charged after police search for Plainfield meth lab

PLAINFIELD, Ill. (WLS) -- A 34-year-old suburban Plainfield man was charged with one of count of drug possession after police searched his home in search of a meth lab, according to the Plainfield Police Department.

On Friday, officers with the Plainfield Police Department, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Illinois State Police (ISP) executed a search warrant at Frank P. Burrus' home in the 24000-block of West Lockport Street.

During the execution of the search warrant, officers located numerous hypodermic needles, heroin and cannabis, police said.

Burrus told officers that he had indeed been making meth inside his residence, but stopped within the last week.
