SCHAUMBURG, Ill. (WLS) -- Police say fingerprint evidence helped lead them to a man who broke into a home and tried to sexually assault a woman as she was sleeping in Schaumburg.

Saul Salazar, 40, was arrested near his Hanover Park home on Thursday. Police said the incident took place in the 2700-block of Odlum Drive around 3:30 a.m. on May 29.

Police said Salazar ran from the house after the victim woke up. She was not hurt.
