Man charged in IIT student's beating death

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man has been charged in connection with the beating death of an Illinois Institute of Technology student on campus, police said.

Carlos Wilson, 43, allegedly beat Jermiron Morris after an argument early Thursday, police said. Morris' body was found later that morning at 3040 South Wabash Avenue in the city's Bronzeville neighborhood.

Morris, a recipient of IIT's Presidential Scholarship, was expected to graduate this year.
