Man charged in South Shore fatal shooting

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 26-year-old man will face murder charges stemming from a Sept. 2 fatal shooting in the South Shore neighborhood that killed a 25-year-old man and wounded two others, police said Sunday.

Shawn Black, who lives in South Shore, was charged with first-degree murder, as well as two counts of attempted murder and aggravated battery/discharge of firearm for two other victims who were shot in the same incident.

Black was scheduled to appear in bond court on Sunday.

The shooting occurred at about 9 a.m. Sept. 2 in the 2600-block of East 74th Place, officials said.

The 25-year-old man who died was shot in the head by Black, officials said.

Two other men, ages 29 and 50, were also shot.
