Man critically injured in Humboldt Park fire

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 63-year-old man is in critical condition after he was rescued from a fire in Chicago's Humboldt Park neighborhood.

Officials said the fire broke out Friday afternoon in the second story of a home in the 700-block of N. Ridgeway.

Fire officials said the man was taken to Norwegian American Hospital in critical condition.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
