Man fatally shot in West Ridge on Far North Side

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Police are investigating a homicide in the West Ridge neighborhood on Chicago's Far North Side.

A 19-year-old man was sitting in a parked vehicle in the 3000-block of West Devon around 8:58 p.m. Wednesday when an someone walked up and fired shots at him.

The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to St. Francis Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No one is in custody. Police say the victim is a documented gang member.
