Man says he was shot while driving on Dan Ryan Expressway

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man said he was shot while driving on the Dan Ryan Expressway early Saturday, Illinois State Police said.

The man walked into McNeal Hospital and said he had been shot while driving on the Dan Ryan at about 5 a.m. Saturday. Police investigated in the southbound lanes near 18th Street.

Southbound lanes were closed as police searched for evidence and have since reopened.
