Man shot 4 times in Avalon Park carjacking, survives

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 45-year-old man was shot four times during a carjacking in Avalon Park and survived, Chicago police said.

Police said the victim was driving three men who, during the trip, produced guns and took the victim's car. The victim was shot in the groin, left hand, left foot and sustained a graze wound to the chest.

He was taken to Christ Hospital in stable condition.

The car was found abandoned about three miles away in the city's Jeffrey Manor neighborhood. No arrests have been made.
