Man shot multiple times in car in Evanston

EVANSTON, Ill. (WLS) -- Police are investigating after a man was found shot multiple times in a vehicle in Evanston, police said.

Police found the vehicle in a parking lot in the 2000-block of Emerson Street after receiving reports of gunfire in the area around 1:45 p.m. Monday, police said. The victim, whose condition has not been released, was transported to North Shore University Hospital.

No one is in custody and police are continuing to investigate. Anyone with information regarding the incident is encouraged to contact Evanston police at 847-866-5000.
