Man shot near North Park University

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 23-year-old man was shot near North Park University on Chicago's Northwest Side.

Police said the victim looking for a parking space in the 3100-block of West Carmen Avenue around 2:15 a.m. Tuesday, when a silver vehicle approached and someone inside opened fire.

The man was shot in the left leg. He was transported to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where his condition stabilized. He is expected to be OK.

The shooting is under investigation.
