Man shot while exiting Dan Ryan Expressway at 83rd, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man is recovering after he was shot near the Dan Ryan Expressway on the city's South Side, police said.

The 23-year-old victim was getting off the expressway at 83rd early Sunday morning when another car pulled up next to him and someone inside started shooting, police said.

The man was able to drive down the street before calling for help. No one else was hurt.
