Man stabbed outside Loop hotel

CHICAGO -- Police say two people got into some type of altercation outside the Wit hotel at State and Lake Street at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Sunday.

One of them pulled out a weapon and attacked the victim.

Police say a 25-year-old male sustained multiple stab wounds and was taken to the hospital in critical, but stable, condition.

When someone on the street ran over to help, the attacker fled.

No one is in custody.
