CHICAGO (WLS) -- Hundreds of people rallied in downtown Chicago Saturday to protest killings of African Americans by police.

Police officers patrolled as protesters marched from Federal Plaza to City Hall Saturday afternoon.

Organizers say the march is meant to send a message to political figures that black lives matter.

The protesters also held a mass rally at Daley Plaza.
