CHICAGO (WLS) -- Mayor Rahm Emanuel will take action this week to boost pay for certain minimum wage workers, sources tell ABC7 Eyewitness News.

The mayor is currently pushing for a minimum wage of $13 per hour.

Sources say the mayor will require that all city contractors pay a higher hourly rate, effectively increasing their employees' minimum wage.
